Rally in the News:

Industry News:

  • The news and data source for social tokens, Forefront, unveiled a new community incentive scheme. Writers will get paid 400 $FF tokens for every piece that’s submitted; editors and referrers get paid too. The idea is to incentivize great writing on social tokens, DAOs and more. Forefront is also offering 4,500 $FF to the top submissions in a Creative Challenge that ends May 4. Submit anything, in any medium, about social tokens!
  • Speaking of earning tokens by writing, Global Coin Research, a member of Seedclub’s second cohort, is doing something similar with its media mining program, which started a couple of weeks ago. Writers who publish research on the site get paid 250 $GCR from the initial token supply. Over time, writers will be funded directly by readers — a spin on the subscription model that’s taking the media world by storm. People seem to like the token: it’s already attracted over $350,000 in liquidity on Uniswap
  • The Ethereum Name Service developer Makoto Inoue wrote an excellent guide to steering your social token through the choppy waters of layer one and two solutions. He scores each step of a token’s life-cycle by how much benefit it would accrue on a second layer. This is less useful for Rally creators, who already have a second layer on the Rally sidechain, but people with tokens residing on mainnet may want to understand the trade-offs at play.
  • Macro guru and analyst Raoul Pal gave social tokens (and Rally!) a shout-out in his latest video talking about the advent of the “exponential age.” According to Pal, “community is going to be explosive,” he says. “People have no comprehension how large this is going to be,” he riffed.
